Three Days Grace Columbus Concert reviews
Sounded Like a Cover Band at Best
When I heard that 3Days Grace was coming to long island I immediately got pumped. I love the band I love their sound. I didn't do the research i should have however... About a week after purchasing tickets I went online to view what the set list was going to be and heard some terrible news which was that the lead singer left the band. I had high hopes of the replacement vocalist so i still was excited to go. After sitting through the first two bands 3 days grace finally came on stage and opened with the song Chalk Outline. From that moment on it was downhill.... The sound of the band was wrong. The best part of the concert is when they brought someone on stage nicknamed "Hammer" to sing a cover of Limp Bizkit's "Break Stuff". I don't blame the band entirely for doing what it could to replace the lead singer at the last minute however the band was not even close to what it once was.
If you are a 3 Days Grace fan don't go see them until they get back to where they once were.
P.S. On a side note. one of the issues that truly angered me was how the vocalist they got to replace Adam was talking to the crowd like he has been the vocalist for years. Stating right before he sang the song "Home" that and
I Quote "This song is about people who don't work for anything and expect to have everything handed to them"
You were handed the band and the lyrics you didn't write any of them.
